Ukulele

Two years ago I started learning the ukulele, planning to teach myself enough to accompany my singing of “Over the Rainbow” and “Moon River” at my friend’s wedding on a beach in Thailand.  Six months in I had also adapted “Hotel California” which became the credit’s to “The Promoter“.  Now with three summers as Musical Director for Sixteen Feet Productions under my belt I’m putting my adaptations on film.  Here is the first film of many..

“Fidelity” by Regina Spektor which was requested for another dear friends’ wedding this summer.

Alice in Wonderland

So this comes months after the event but this summer I was back as Musical Director for Sixteen Feet Productions this time working on their adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.”  As well as musical director on accordion I played the White Rabbit and Dormouse and led a very musical and creative cast in quite a roller-coaster ride.  We were lucky with the weather bar one day when it was so damp the audience couldn’t come to us so we went to them – taking props, costume, set and instruments down the road to Brockwell’s Whippersnappers to entertain their kids.

Here are two images from the show..
